In 2019 ANTARES launched the first AgTech accelerator in the region, testing our hypothesis that such a program was needed. Eight teams were selected, and after a 3-month intensive program, it was clear that the initial hypothesis was correct and that the AgTech vertical had a lot to offer. Over the course of three months that were jam-packed with interactive workshops and bespoke trainings, 8 teams mastered multiple skills: how to develop a business idea, define a business model, identify the needs of future users and conduct detailed analysis of the market and competition. Top-notch tech and business support, as well as guidance from industry and technology experts brought startups and their ideas to the next level. Besides a comprehensive support, BioSense Accelerator has given the teams a get-ready guide for fundraising, and startups that participated in the first batch raised 140K Euros over a period of six months.
