BioSense laboratories currently support a number of technologies for micro and nanofabrication, imaging, sensing, artificial intelligence, etc. However, to support research of the highest level and fulfills its scientific strategy, CoE needs to acquire additional state-of-the-art research equipment.

To that end, ANTARES pays a special attention to a careful selection and procurement of advanced pieces of research equipment, which will reinforce Institute’s scientific potential but also lead to a creation of a dynamic and motivating environment for researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, students and other stakeholders across the agrifood sector.

The first equipment tender has been finalized in September 2019 when GA-DSC/DTA combined system – NETZSCH STA 449 F5, Particle Size Analyzer and Rheometer have been purchased.

The second equipment tender has been published in February 2020 and it is expected to be finalized and delivered by the end of 2020. Laser Micro Pattern Generator, Atmospheric Diagnostics System, Ellipsometer, Surface Profiler, Mask Aligner Upgrade, Portable Mass Spectrometer, are among some of the pieces that have been purchased.

The third equipment tender is expected to be launched in the forthcoming period.
