Dani Varghese

New staff hired through ANTARES (former)

Dr. Dani Varghese is a Senior Researcher at the BioSense Institute and, associates with a national and Antares H2020 project. Dr. Dani Varghese completed his Ph.D. at the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India in 2017. Before his doctoral studies, he started his career as a Project Fellow at the National Center for Earth Science Studies. Following his doctoral study, he worked as a Research Associate in the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) project dealing with the landslides on planet Mars. Thereafter he moved to the Remote Sensing Laboratory of the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel for his Postdoctoral research. There he associated with professor Arnon Karniele in a European H2020 project, which deals with the major climate growth limiting factors over Europe. Dr. Dani Varghese’s research interests mainly focus on the land surface process and its interaction with the regional climate using geoinformatics.
