The new BioSense building taking its final shape
New premises of the BioSense Institute have taken its final shape, as the City of Novi Sad authorities have issued a completion certificate for the new construction on May 9, 2022.
Situated in the Campus of the University of Novi Sad, in Dr Zorana Đinđića Street, the building is unique in its design as it features a special antivibration section to house state-of-the-art scientific equipment for micro- and nanotechnology research, strengthening the status of the BioSense as a European Center of Excellence.
Works are currently under way on the building facade as well as the wiring and piping inside the laboratories, offices, amphitheater, lecture halls and common areas in the four-floor building. All works are expected to be finished in January 2023.
The Republic of Serbia is financing the construction of the building and procurement of the scientific equipment as complementary funding under the 28 million EUR H2020 Project ANTARES.
